Highlights from the 2019 Catwalk Fashion Show

The 2019 Catwalk Fashion Show has come to an end, but there is still plenty to discuss about this glamorous and charitable day. From the Saks Fifth popup store to the runway, we've broken down the most show-stopping moments of this year's "A-CAT-EMY" award themed Catwalk below.

This year marked the 15th year of partnership between ORCAT and Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland, who presented their gorgeous Lafayette 148 New York line to an eager audience of nearly 500 guests. The Lafayette line wasn't the only reason heads were turning, supermodel dogs also strutted their dazzling outfits down the runway. One outfit was even made with Swarovski crystals!

The 2019 Pet of the Year was also crowned. Last year's winner Lexi was welcomed to the stage to pass down the crown to this year's adorable winner Sabrina.

In keeping with the theme, the Town Hall ballroom had an Academy Awards vibe with a red carpet and giant gold award statues greeting guests as they stepped out of their vehicles. Inside, gold table runners were beautifully decorated with fabulous centerpieces. Lunch was a delicious plateful of tender sliced chicken smothered in pesto, and a spring mixed salad with a side of shrimp. It was a stunning, dramatic arrangement created by the Ocean Reef Club's catering team.

Mini Key Lime Tarts and Chocolate Upside-Down Cakes embossed in gold flakes and ORCAT's trademark paw created with chocolate syrup were the perfect sweet touch to end the meal. Antonella and the Ocean Reef Club team of bakers and culinary specialists always go above and beyond for the Catwalk luncheon. As if that wasn't good enough, they even provided homemade dog bones for all of our canine friends - because it's not just about the cats!

Luisa Bryan, India and Hunter Stamps presented a heartfelt tribute to the late Penny Stamps through soft spoken words and sharing an old movie of Penny describing what the Grayvik Center/ORCAT is, and how the name came about. After Luisa presented a Robin Hands statue with the inscription "Penny W. Stamps Award, 2019" to Hunter and India, she expressed her appreciation, as well as that of the other board members, staff, volunteers, and guests for all they have done.

Additional special thanks go out to Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland, the Ocean Reef Club Spa, BBJ Linen, Mobile Pet Doctors, Phillips Food Company and many other sponsors whose contributions helped make this year's Catwalk one of the most successful yet.

Your generous donations help fund ORCAT's annual budget enabling the Grayvik Animal Care Center to continue providing our community with all animal-related services. From caring for your furry family member, to humanely ridding the community's common areas of nuisance raccoons, iguanas, and even coyotes - They do it all, while also caring for our community's beloved population of ORCATs.

We cannot thank you enough for your support of our precious event and the Grayvik Animal Care Center, home of ORCAT.
